Free Password Generator
Create strong, random passwords on this device. The generator uses your browser's secure random source — passwords are never transmitted, stored, or logged.
What makes a password strong?
Three things matter most: length, randomness, and uniqueness. A 16-character random password from this generator is vastly harder to guess than a short “clever” one — and no password, however strong, protects you if it is reused on a site that gets breached. Use a different password for every account, ideally kept in a reputable password manager.
How is the randomness generated?
With crypto.getRandomValues, the cryptographically secure random source built into your browser — the same class of randomness used by security software. This tool deliberately avoids Math.random, which is predictable.
Can ToolHamper see or recover my password?
No. Generation happens entirely on your device. Nothing is sent to a server, stored, or logged — if you lose a generated password, it is gone; generate a new one and save it in your password manager right away.
Is any password unbreakable?
No password is absolutely unbreakable — given unlimited time and computing power, any password can eventually be guessed. Length and randomness make that time stretch from seconds to far beyond practical reach.
